Hack a Server 2012 Summer Camp 19-26 August

It’s summer, it’s hot, it’s holiday for most of the people and because of that we have a gift event:

Free Hack a Server 2012 Summer Camp 19-26 August

7 super days of PHP. What does PHP mean? It means Pool Hacking Party (please do not confuse with PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor ). Free of charge accommodation, food, and beverages. How that does it sound?

However, even if the event is free of charge, of course there is a “catch”. On those 7 PHP awesome days we want to bring together some of the best coders to help us improve HaS platform and push it to the next level.

The skills we’re looking for are as follows:

Frontend:

• Refactoring, tests
  • Requirements: rails, css, haml, jquery, bootstrap (http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/) .

Backend:

• Update install system, network boot via DHCP
  • Requirements: sysadmin skills, network booting and bootstrapping linux OS.

• Move some services to virtual machines
  • Requirements: sysadmin skills and shit like that.

Both:

• install and configure error catcher: errbit – https://github.com/errbit/errbit
  • Requirements: rails, mongodb

August 19^th:

Registration, Networking and Welcome Party.

August 20:

9:00 – 10:00 breakfast

10:15 – 10:45 Briefing – Challenge Room. Talks about what has been done, what it should be done.

10:45 – 11:00 Building teams: who would be willing to do what.

11:15 – FREE program (coding, drinking, swimming pool, drinking, coding, gaming, drinking, pizza, bbq and so on).

August 21^st:

9:00 – 10:00 breakfast

10:15 – 11:00 Briefing – Challenge Room. Waaazzzzuuuupppppp?!!!  What has been done, what problems did you got into it, solutions (?).

16:00 – Camp Fire: BBMB = Big Broach Mutton Barbeque

August 26^th:

9:00 – 10:00 breakfast
